Marshalltown, IA (February 16, 2010) -- The white stuff may still be covering the ground but activities are ready to unfurl at the Marshalltown Speedway. The first sight of spring will be the annual car show at the Marshall Town Center on March 26th - 28th. Upon the completion of the car show on Sunday March 28th, there will be an open practice from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the speedway. The practice will be open to all racers and the pit fee will be $10. The first major event of the season at the speedway will be the Annual Frostbuster on Friday, April 2nd. The pit gates will open at 4:00 grandstands at 5:00; hot laps are at 6:15 with racing action set for 7:00. The IMCA Modifieds will be going after a top prize of $1,000 to win, IMCA Stock Cars battle for $500, there is $300 on the line for IMCA SportMods, and $250 up for grabs for the IMCA Hobby Stocks. Also in competition that night will be the always exciting Mod Lites going after $200 to win. The parking spots are good for all weekly shows at a cost of $25 and the number registration fee for the season is once again $25.
