Spring Frostbuster Series Roars Through Iowa April 3-6

VINTON, Iowa (Feb. 25, 2025)

Iowa Frostbuster week returns in full force as four IMCA divisions travel to four different tracks for a thrilling series of Frostbuster specials from Thursday through Sunday, April 3-6.

Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds will compete for a $1,000 winner’s share, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars for $1000, and both Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $500 each night.

The Frostbuster schedule is as follows: Thursday, April 3 – Independence Motor Speedway (Night 1). Friday, April 4 – Marshalltown Speedway (Night 2).

Saturday, April 5 – Boone Speedway (Night 3). Sunday, April 6 – Stuart Speedway (Night 4).

Frostbuster champions will receive the largest share of a $1,000 point fund and will be eligible for race-ofchampions events at the prestigious IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. Modified and Stock Car feature winners will also qualify for their respective All-Star Invitationals.

Gate times and admission for each event are as follows. Independence on April 3 will have gates open at 5 p.m., hot laps at 6:30 p.m., and racing at 7 p.m. Admission is $20 for adults, $10 for students (11-17), and free for kids 10 and under. Marshalltown on April 4 will open pit gates at 4:30 p.m., grandstands at 5:30 p.m., hot laps at 6:45 p.m., and racing at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $20 for adults, $15 for veterans, seniors, and students (11-17), and free for kids 10 and under.

Boone on April 5 will open pit gates at 2 p.m., grandstands at 3 p.m., hot laps at 4 p.m., and racing at 5 p.m.

Admission is $20 for adults, $15 for students (11-17), and free for kids 10 and under. More details can be found at raceboone.com.

Stuart on April 6 will open pit gates at 3 p.m., hot laps at 4:30 p.m., and racing at 5 p.m. Admission is $18 for adults, $16 for veterans and seniors, $5 for kids (6-12), and free for kids five and under. Contact Mike VanGenderen at 640-521-0330 or visit stuartspeedway.net for more information.

Additional information includes adult pit passes at $35 each night, with entry fees at $30 for Modifieds, $25 for Stock Cars, and $20 for Hobby Stocks and Northern SportMods.

Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts will also be on the card at Independence, Marshalltown, and Stuart. National, regional, and state IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing points will be awarded at each event. Open practice sessions will be held on April 1 at Marshalltown and April 2 at Independence. IMCA.TV will broadcast the Independence, Boone, and Stuart Frostbusters live.
